Course Objectives

Participants will gain practical skills on daily maintenance and operation of buildings. It will consider how to manage projects concerned with building maintenance and restoration, such as engaging and instructing the contractor, monitoring progress, and quality of work upon completion.
The course will point out relevant legislation and regulations that control the management, maintenance, and restoration of buildings so that participants are fully conversant with the provisions for compliance.
Participants will be given the instruments and notions needed to strategically plan resources and manage budgets related to building management.
The concept of sustainability and how to apply green practices in building management will be treated, which will include strategies for energy consumption reduction, waste management, and how to use sustainable materials.
The course shall also delve into modern technologies employed in building management and maintenance, such as smart management systems, the use of data and analytics, to improve performance and efficiency.
